MGM Resorts International will be advising its customers across North America to game with sense. MGM Resorts has teamed up with BCLC, British Columbia’s provincial gambling corporation, to license its responsible gambling program, GameSense. MGM wants to have GameSense fully integrated into all of its properties across the U.S. within the year.
The news that MGM Resorts joins forces with BCLC was announced at the fifth annual New Horizons in Responsible Gambling Conference in Vancouver, B.C. This is the first time a program like this is being licensed by any commercial gaming company in North America.
Jim Lightbody, BCLC President & CEO:
GameSense was introduced by BCLC in 2009 and it is an unique, player-focused responsible gambling program that wants players to adopt behaviors and attitudes that can reduce the risk of learning gambling disorders.
MGM wants to adopt GameSense to boost awareness and education about responsible gambling for players and guests. In doing so MGM is raising the standards within the industry.
